Vinyasas appear in almost every flow class, but they’re often the part we rush through. Somewhere between Plank and Downward Dog, things can start to feel a little… uncertain.

Maybe the elbows flare out, the shoulders dip, or the whole thing turns into a quick collapse to the mat before pushing back up to Downward Dog.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone!

Vinyasas can feel challenging because they ask the upper body and core to work in ways we’re not always used to. In a regular class there isn’t time to pause and unpack every detail of these transitions. This workshop creates the space to slow things down and explore what’s really happening.

Over two hours, we’ll break down the key elements of a vinyasa — from Plank to Chaturanga (or Knees–Chest–Chin), Cobra (or Upward Dog), and into Downward Dog — exploring how strength and stability are actually created through the hands, shoulders, and core.

Through a mix of pose breakdown, simple strength drills, and short flow sequences, you’ll learn how to move with greater control, confidence, and support, and discover the vinyasa option that works best for your body.

You’ll leave with stronger foundations, a clearer understanding of the poses and their intention, and a vinyasa that feels steady rather than rushed.

Suitable for yoga practitioners who want to refine their transitions, build supportive strength, and move through the flow with greater ease.
